Emily Jiang is the senior editor of The Slowdown, a New York–based media company that tells stories around slow culture as it manifests across the cultural spectrum—from art and architecture, to food and fashion, to climate, technology, and beyond. There, she edits and co-produces the podcast Time Sensitive and provides editorial support for client projects ranging from books and exhibitions to live talks and events. She served as an editor on Molteni Mondo: An Italian Design Story (Rizzoli), an upcoming monograph celebrating the seminal Italian design company’s 90-year history, and is currently an editor on a multi-volume book series in collaboration with The Leading Hotels of the World and Monacelli Press. Emily is also a copy editor at the Brooklyn–based proofreading company Super Copy Editors and freelances in both copy editing and writing.

Born and raised in rural Massachusetts, Emily is a graduate of the Columbia Publishing Course and Pomona College, where she founded and led the undergraduate philosophy journal Tabula Rasa as editor-in-chief. She lives in Brooklyn.
